For onward travel too, you will have ready access to train lines for Osaka, Tokyo, Nagoya, Hiroshima, and Kansai International Airport.
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, are plentiful shopping opportunities. For fashion, food and souvenirs head across the station building to Isetan department store. And just beyond that is the giant electronics store Bic Camera. The historic temples of Toji, Higashi Honganji and Nishi Honganji are also within walking distance, as are more modern attractions such as Kyoto Tower and Umekoji Koen Park with its aquarium and railway museum. There is also an art gallery and theater within the station building.
