Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto is a well situated, inexpensive business hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and practical facilities. This hotel is located directly in front of JR Kyoto Station’s Central Exit on the Karasuma side, by Kyoto Tower, and is about 1 minute on foot from the station. It is also about 3 minutes from Kintetsu Kyoto Station and Kyoto Municipal Subway Kyoto Station, and is immediately by Porta underground mall Exit B13.

This hotel is very convenient for shopping and dining in nearby Yodobashi Camera. Nearby tourist sites include Higashi Honganji Temple which is about ten minutes walk away, and Kyoto Tower which is about 2 minutes walk from the hotel exit.

Guest Rooms
This hotel has single and semi-double rooms, double rooms, standard twin rooms, deluxe twin rooms and triple rooms, with larger rooms able to accommodate families or groups of up to 5 or 6 guests. Single and semi-double rooms are 13 square meters, double rooms are 18 square meters, standard twin rooms are 19 square meters, deluxe twin rooms range from 25 to 31 square meters, and triple rooms are 31 square meters.
All guest rooms come supplied with an air conditioner and heater, free Wi-Fi, a telephone, a refrigerator, an LCD TV, an electric kettle and a tea making set. Japanese style night wear is supplied and all beds are fitted with world famous Simmons brand bedding and luxuriously soft down duvets. In the bathroom you will find a bathtub and shower, a shower toilet, a Panasonic ion hair dryer and a complete set of complimentary toiletries. Rooms also have a humidifying air purifier, Resesh deodorizing spray, hangers, a shoehorn and an alarm clock. All guest rooms and the whole building are non-smoking, and there is no smoking space inside the hotel.

The hotel also has some items you can borrow, including mobile phone chargers, desk lamps, irons, sewing kits, thermometers, nail clippers, can openers, bottle openers, wine openers, laundry nets and baggage racks. Trouser pressers are available in the elevator halls. In-room massages can also be arranged through the hotel from 13:00 to 25:00. A 40 minute massage costs 5,500 yen, and a 60 minute massage costs 8,250 yen.

Dining
The first floor of the Hotel Hokke Club building has a restaurant and a cafe. The restaurant is called Irohakaruta and serves mainly Japanese style dishes. Breakfast is served here from 7:00 till 9:30, with final entry at 9:00, and costs 1,980 yen including tax. The breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet with 134 seats. In the evening the restaurant reopens from 17:00 till 24:00, with last orders at 23:30, and serves typical Kyoto-style Japanese izakaya pub fare. It is a cheerful and convenient location for a few drinks and a tasty bite to eat.

Ogawa Coffee, also on the first floor, is open from 7:00 till 21:00, with last orders at 20:30. It has 24 seats and serves light meals, cakes and coffee.

The hotel lobby and front desk
Staff at this hotel have an excellent reputation for their friendly and courteous service and some of them can speak English. You can ask at the front desk for staff to order a taxi that will wait for you outside the hotel exit. The front desk also has Yamato delivery forms if you wish to send packages ahead.
The 2nd floor has the front desk, lobby, a small library corner and an OA corner with two computers and a printer that are free to use for hotel guests. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, but wired LAN connections cannot be used.
Drinks vending machines, an ice making machine, a microwave and a coin operated laundromat can be found on the 4th floor. Washing machines cost 400 yen per wash, and detergent is automatically added by the machine. Dryers cost 100 yen for a 30 minute cycle.
The hotel does not have parking, so guests arriving by car should use nearby coin parking.
