The name “Kyoto Ekimae” literally means “in front of Kyoto Station,” and this hotel is about 4 minutes on foot from JR Kyoto Station’s Central Exit. It is also directly connected to Kyoto Station’s underground passage via the Porta underground shopping area, though the underground entrance is closed from 23:30 to 7:00. This is also an excellent location for shopping, dining, and sightseeing as the hotel sits between the Kyoto Yodobashi department store to the south, and Higashi Honganji Temple to the north. Kyoto Tower and the Shosei-en Garden are also very close to this hotel.
