The Daiwa Roynet chain of upscale business hotels provide reliably clean and comfortable accommodation with excellent services and amenities. Currently this chain has three hotels in Kyoto: the Kyoto-Hachijoguchi branch which is a short walk south of Kyoto Station, the Kyoto-ShijoKarasuma branch which is very centrally located, and the Kyoto Ekimae branch which opened in August 2016.

The name of the newest hotel, “Kyoto Ekimae” literally means “in front of Kyoto Station” as the hotel is just a five minute walk to the station’s north. This is also an excellent location for shopping, dining, and sightseeing as the hotel sits between the Kyoto Yodobashi department store to the south, and Higashi Honganji Temple to the north. Kyoto Tower and the Shosei-en Garden are also very close to this hotel.
