Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi

Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi is a five-story hotel with 234 guest rooms near the south side of Kyoto Station. Opened in 2018, it is useful for travelers who want Kyoto Station access, a public bath, buffet breakfast, and practical self-service facilities close to the Hachijo side of the station.

The hotel is at 5-1 Higashikujo Minamisanno-cho, Minami-ku, Kyoto 601-8011. The current access guidance describes it as about five minutes on foot from JR Kyoto Station’s Hachijo East Exit. This location works well for travelers arriving by train, using the airport limousine bus stops around the Hachijo side, or staying south of Kyoto Station for onward travel around the city.

Guest Rooms

Guest rooms are simple, modern, and arranged for practical city stays rather than resort-style lounging. Current room categories include single rooms, double rooms, twin rooms, and moderate twin rooms. Single rooms are 14 sq m with a 160 cm bed. Double rooms are 17 sq m with a 160 cm bed. Twin rooms are 17 sq m with two 110 cm beds and can be used as triples with an extra bed. Moderate twin rooms are 22 sq m with two 110 cm beds and can also be used as triples with an extra bed.

All guest rooms are non-smoking, and free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Rooms include modern essentials such as comfortable bedding and flat-screen TVs. The hotel also has a smoking area on the 1st floor.

Breakfast & Dining

Breakfast is served buffet-style from 7:00 to 10:00. The current breakfast is produced with Madoi, a long-established Kyoto western-style restaurant founded in 1961. The buffet emphasizes fresh vegetables, western-style prepared dishes, French toast cooked in front of guests, and vegetable dishes using fermented ingredients.

From April 1, 2026, breakfast costs 2,530 yen for adults and 1,265 yen for elementary school children. Infants eat free. Menus may change depending on ingredient availability.

Public Bath

Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi has a large public bath that is open from 15:00 to 25:00 and from 6:00 to 10:00. The bathing area has changing-room lockers and washbasins, a large indoor bath, an outdoor bath, and a standing shower space with rain shower. Shampoo, rinse, and body soap are supplied. Guests should bring bath towels from their rooms, and may wear hotel nightwear and slippers when going to the bath. The bathing area uses an electronic lock, and the hotel currently offers free ice treats after bathing.

Other Facilities and Services

Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. The 1st floor includes the entrance, lobby, coin lockers, restaurant, laundry corner, soft drink vending machines, ice machine, amenity bar, rental-items corner, microwave, and water server. Guest rooms are on floors 2 to 5, and microwaves are also listed on the guest-room floors.

Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out is handled through return-type coin lockers on the 1st floor. Current services also include 24-hour parcel reception at the front desk, copy and fax service, rental items, massage service, and morning calls.

The laundry corner uses wash+ smart laundry, with four washing machines and four dryers, and supports cashless payment. Free Wi-Fi internet access is available in all guest rooms and public areas.

Parking is available by advance telephone reservation. Guest parking costs 2,000 yen per night from 15:00 to 11:00 and is limited to eight outdoor spaces. Large vehicles cost 5,000 yen per night, and motorcycles cost 400 yen per night. If the hotel lot is full, guests can use the paid municipal Hachijo Exit parking under Avanti and ask at the hotel front desk about discount ticket information.

Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi is about five minutes on foot from JR Kyoto Station’s Hachijo East Exit and is also close to Kujo Station on the Karasuma Subway Line. Airport limousine buses run to the Hachijo side of Kyoto Station from Osaka Itami Airport and Kansai International Airport. Local attractions such as Toji Temple and Kyoto Tower are both within walking distance from the hotel.
