DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station

DoubleTree by Hilton Kyoto Station is a modern hotel on the south side of Kyoto Station, about five minutes on foot from JR Kyoto Station. The hotel now operates at the former Daiwa Royal Hotel Grande Kyoto site, so older references to the Daiwa name may still appear in some photographs and booking systems. For visitors, the main appeal is practical: this location gives quick access to the Shinkansen, JR lines, Kintetsu Railway, the Kyoto subway, taxis, buses and airport limousine bus stops around Kyoto Station.

Rooms are non-smoking and are designed with a modern Japanese atmosphere. Exact fittings vary by room category, but the current room range is best understood by floor and access level: standard guest rooms for simple station-side stays, larger deluxe and premium rooms for travelers who want more space, and executive rooms or suites for guests who want lounge access. Wi-Fi access is available; check your booking conditions or Hilton Honors benefits for any current charges.

Premium rooms have bathrooms separated from the toilet area, with a shower booth as well as bathing space. Executive rooms and suites are the better choice if lounge access matters, while deluxe and premium triple rooms are useful for small groups who want to stay close to Kyoto Station.
